  1. Q: Why should I order from QEP?

    A: QEP is your one-stop shop of professional titles for school districts in Texas and New Mexico. There is no need for multiple purchase orders since QEP represents more than 40 publishers, including Stenhouse, ILA, Corwin Press, Heinemann, ASCD, Pearson, Scholastic, Shell Education, and Jossey-Bass. Our goal is help you locate the best professional titles to meet your needs.
  2. Q: Do you offer discounts?

    A: Yes. Our discounts range from 10 - 30% on most publisher titles. We also offer larger discounts on bulk orders so please contact our customer service department at qeporders@qepbooks.com or call us 1-800-323-6787 for a price quote.
  3. Q: What are your hours of operation?

    A: QEP is open Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm CST.
  4. Q: How can I place an order?

    A: Orders are accepted by phone, fax, email, online, or mail. If you would like to print a copy of our QEP Order Form, please click here.
  5. Q: May I use a purchase Order?

    A: You may use a school district purchase order for placing orders. The PO should include PO #, Bill-To Address, Ship-To Address, phone number, contact person, and any special instructions for your order. You may send the PO by mail, fax or email.
  6. Q: How do I place an online order?

    A: You may place an online order by using our website www.qepbooks.com and following the prompts. Ordering online may entitle you to special discounts and Internet offers, such as free shipping on orders over $70.00. Payment can be made using MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card or American Express. All credit card information is secure when placed through our online store.
  7. Q: Can I place an online order with a purchase order?

    A: Not at this time. Purchase orders must be faxed, emailed, or mailed to QEP. If you would like a quote to help assist you in preparing your purchase order, just give us a call or email us your list of titles to qeporders@qepbooks.com
  8. Q: I placed an order online but did not receive a confirmation. Should I order again?

    A: No. Please contact our customer service department at 1-800-323-6787 between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm CST, or send an email to qeporders@qepbooks.com. Please include your billing name, address, and the approximate date and time of your order. It is likely that we received your order, but due to a typographical error in your email address, or other mail server errors, the confirmation never reached you.

  12. Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

    A: We accept cash, checks, Mastercard, VISA, or Discover Card or American Express.
  13. Q: How do I pay by check?

    A: You may send a personal check with your order by mail. Our mailing address is:

  14. Q: Do I have to pay sales tax?

    A: QEP is required by the state of Texas to charge sales tax on all items sold to individuals. The sales tax will be added to your order at checkout. School districts are tax exempt. If you are tax exempt and paying with a school credit card, please submit a copy of the district’s Tax Exempt Certificate by email, fax or mail. QEP will keep it on file so you need only send it once. Your order will be placed on hold until we receive a copy of your certificate. If you are paying by PO, it is not necessary to send a tax exempt certificate.
  15. Q: When will I get my order?

    A: An order received for in-stock items will ship within 24 hours. If we need to order your request from the publisher, please allow 7-10 days for receipt of order.
  16. Q: Do you charge shipping/handling?

    A: We are pleased to offer our online customers free shipping when paying with a credit card and their order is greater than $70, while orders under $70 receive an $8.00 shipping charge. If placing an order with a purchase order, our standard shipping is a minimum of $7.00 while orders over $80.00 receive a 9% shipping charge.
  17. Q: Where do you ship?

    A: We ship within Texas and New Mexico only since we are the publisher’s representative for these two states. If you are calling from out-of-state and would like us to refer you to your state representative, please call 800-323-6787. Shipments are sent UPS Ground (No PO Boxes) or USPS Priority and most areas within Texas receive orders the next day. New Mexico receives orders in two days. You will receive a shipping notification via email with package tracking.
  18. Q: What if I get a damaged item?

    A: Claims regarding damaged items must be made within 10 days of receipt of order. Please call QEP at 1-800-323-6787 to speak with a customer service representative. You will be asked which item was damaged or defective and whether you would like a replacement copy or credit. The replacement will be sent as soon as possible. A UPS prepaid return shipping label may be issued for the damaged item.
  19. Q: What if an item is missing from my order?

    A: Claims regarding missing items must be made within 10 days of receipt of order. Please call QEP at 1-800-323-6787 to speak with a customer service representative. We will ship the missing item as soon as possible.
  20. Q: What if I received the wrong item?

    A: Claims regarding incorrect items must be made within 10 days of receipt of order. Please call QEP at 1-800-323-6787 to speak with a customer service representative.
  21. Q: Where’s my order?

    A: You may contact us at qeporders@qepbooks.com or call 1-800-323-6787 to speak with a customer service representative. If your order has already been shipped, we can track it by the UPS tracking system or, if you prefer to track it yourself, we’ll provide you with the tracking number.
  22. Q: What if I need to return part or all of my order?

    A: Returns, with prior authorization, must be accompanied by invoice or packing slip and will be accepted within 45 days of purchase. All items must be in resalable condition and a 5% restocking fee may apply. QEP cannot accept returns on certain items:
    • Any CD, DVD, VHS, cassette tape, or software.
    • Any item that is not in original package
    • Any item not in saleable condition
    • Any special order books
    • Any item without prior authorization

  23. Q: What if I need to change my order before it is filled?

    A: You may email us at qeporders@qepbooks.com or call us at 1-800-323-6787 to speak with a customer service representative.
  24. Q: Do you have a store I may visit?

    A: QEP is located in the southwest corner of Independence Pkwy and Parker Road in Plano, TX. We are primarily an office/warehouse facility but we welcome visits from our customers. Please call ahead to let us know you are coming!
