A. Keith Young

A. Keith Young is an education coach, trainer, and writer and the author of The Instructional Coaching Handbook: 200+ Troubleshooting Strategies for Success, coauthored with Angela Bell Julien and Tamarra Osborne, and Training Design, Delivery, and Diplomacy: An Educator’s Guide, coauthored with Tamarra Osborne. He is also the coauthor of The Teaching Strategy Handbook: 200+ Solutions for Common Classroom Challenges and has created additional tools for educators, such as The Confident Classroom Management Moves Deck Card, which provides teacher-tested, relationally centered discipline strategies.

Young began his career teaching secondary English and math, including work teaching for the U.S. government in Germany, before moving into roles training teachers and leading school improvement efforts. He now focuses on coaching and training administrators, school leadership teams, and instructional coaches, sharing practical, high-leverage strategies for professional learning, instructional coaching, and classroom practice.
