Aaron Blackwelder
Aaron Blackwelder is a veteran public school educator and Digital Learning Coach based in Southwest Washington, with over 25 years in public education. He has taught middle and high school English, served as a Digital Learning Coach TOSA in Vancouver Public Schools, and coached both boys’ and girls’ high school golf. Blackwelder is the co-author of Future-Ready Teaching With AI: Unlocking Student Potential in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, a practical guide for K–12 teachers and administrators on integrating AI to raise rigor, increase engagement, and promote meaningful, student-centered learning.
Blackwelder is a co-founder of Teachers Going Gradeless (TG2), an international educator network focused on gradeless and feedback-centered assessment practices, and he has hosted the education podcast Beyond the Curriculum. He has contributed regularly to Spectrum Life Magazine and the Grow Beyond Grades blog, and is recognized as a Washington State English Teachers Fellow, a 2019 Washington State Teacher of the Year nominee, and a five-time high school golf coach of the year.
