Adrienne Downey

Adrienne Downey is the co-author of English-Spanish First Little Readers: Guided Reading Level A (Parent Pack): 25 Bilingual Books That Are Just the Right Level for Beginning Readers, a set of simple, predictable stories designed for beginning readers and English Language Learners. She is also credited as co-author on additional titles in the English-Spanish First Little Readers series at Guided Reading Levels B and C, collaborating with other early literacy specialists to create bilingual, leveled texts for children in preschool through grade 2.

Her work on the English-Spanish First Little Readers collections focuses on pairing high-frequency vocabulary with supportive illustrations and repetitive sentence structures to help emerging readers build confidence in both English and Spanish.
