Aida Allen-Rotell

Aida Allen-Rotell is a credentialed bilingual teacher, special educator, and administrator in California who has served as an academic coach and coordinator of services for multilingual learners, leading efforts to improve student learning. She is also described as a national and internationally recognized literacy consultant, an instructional coach at Health Science High, and a lecturer in the teacher education department at San Diego State University.

Allen-Rotell is a co-author of PLC+: A Playbook for Instructional Leaders and Teaching Foundational Skills to Adolescent Readers, both published by Corwin, working alongside Douglas Fisher, Nancy Frey, and other colleagues on improving professional learning communities and adolescent literacy.
