Aimee Elizabeth Buckner
Aimee Buckner is an educator, author, and literacy consultant known for her practical work on using notebooks to strengthen reading and writing instruction. She has taught grades 3–6 for nineteen years and has worked with upper elementary and middle school students, as well as facilitating writing institutes for teachers and students in grades K–12. She continues to present at state and national conferences and works with schools as a consultant on research-based reading and writing practices.
Buckner is the author of several widely used professional resources for teachers, including Notebook Know-How: Strategies for the Writer’s Notebook, Notebook Connections: Strategies for the Reader’s Notebook, and Nonfiction Notebooks: Strategies for Informational Writing. Her books focus on helping teachers use writer’s and reader’s notebooks to foster deeper thinking, support discussion, and build students’ skills as readers and writers.
