Alana Winnick

Alana Winnick is an award‑winning educational technology and artificial intelligence leader based in New York City, and the author of The Generative Age: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Education. She serves as Educational Technology Director and Data Protection Officer for the Pocantico Hills Central School District in Sleepy Hollow, New York, and is the Hudson Valley Director for NYSCATE (New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education).

Winnick is also the creator and host of The Generative Age, a live web show and podcast powered by NYSCATE that explores the rapidly evolving world of generative AI and its impact on education. Her work focuses on how AI can reshape classrooms, assessment, and student agency, and she has been recognized with Innovative Leadership awards from Tech & Learning and LHRIC, as well as being named an EDSAFE Women in AI Fellow and Magic School AI Educator of the Year finalist.
