Alesha Daughtrey

Alesha Daughtrey is an education strategist and author who serves as President of Mira Education, where she leads design and implementation partnerships with P–20 education teams focused on collective leadership, educator capacity, and equitable learning environments. Originally trained as a high school English language arts teacher, her work has spanned community organizing, policy, philanthropy, and professional learning, including co-developing models to support teachers and administrators and co-leading partnerships with more than 100 teams engaged in sustainable school and system change.

Daughtrey is a co-author of Small Shifts, Meaningful Improvement: Collective Leadership Strategies for Schools and Districts, which offers practical guidance on collective leadership practices for educators. She has also coauthored multiple policy briefs and research reports on teacher leadership, teaching effectiveness, and collaboration in high-needs schools, published through education research outlets. Daughtrey holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from Duke University and a B.A. in English and secondary education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
