Alex Kajitani

Alex Kajitani is a California Teacher of the Year and a top-four finalist for National Teacher of the Year. He is the author of several books, including Owning It: Proven Strategies for Success in All of Your Roles as a Teacher Today, which was named “Recommended Reading” by the U.S. Department of Education, and You’re a Teacher Now! What’s Next? with Tom Hierck.

Kajitani has also been described as a highly sought-after speaker and educator known for his focus on student engagement, relationship building, and teacher leadership. He earned a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Colorado Boulder and an M.A. in Education from San Diego State University.
