Ally Russell

Ally Russell is a USA Today bestselling author of middle-grade horror, including It Came from the Trees and the Mystery James series. She earned an MFA from Simmons University and later worked in children’s publishing; she has also written about spooky topics for the Tor Nightfire blog.

Russell has said she grew up on Halloween parties, horror films, Unsolved Mysteries, and Goosebumps, and she is from Pittsburgh. Her debut novel, It Came from the Trees, was published in 2024.
