Alyse Sweeney

Alyse Sweeney earned a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.A. in Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a certified reading specialist and taught multiple grade levels in Nantucket before writing books and educational materials for children.

Her published work includes Easy Reader Biographies and other nonfiction and instructional titles for Scholastic, including Teaching the Essentials of Reading with Picture Books and Fluency Lessons for the Overhead for grades 2–3 and 4–6. Sources also identify her as the author of more than 30 books for children and teachers.
