Amy Benjamin
Amy Benjamin is a nationally recognized education consultant and author specializing in literacy instruction and grammar teaching. She has taught middle and high school English for more than 30 years, has led workshops and keynotes across the United States and Canada, and has served as a member of the professional development network of the National Council of Teachers of English. She is also a past president of the Assembly for the Teaching of English Grammar, affiliated with NCTE.
Her published works include Infusing Grammar into the Writer’s Workshop: A Guide for K-6 Teachers, written with Barbara Golub, as well as books such as Grammar Instruction That (Really) Works, Focus on Text: Strategies for the Common Core Reading Standards, Big Skills for the Common Core, But I’m Not a Reading Teacher, Writing in the Content Areas, and Vocabulary at the Core.
