Amy Elizabeth Berry
Dr. Amy Elizabeth Berry is an educator, researcher, and author whose work focuses on student engagement and partnership in learning. She is the creator of The Engagement Hub and hosts the Talking Engagement podcast, where she speaks with educators about practical ways to support students to actively engage in learning. Berry is an honorary fellow at the University of Melbourne and has served as a research fellow at the Australian Council for Educational Research, following an early career as a primary school teacher in Queensland and advanced study including a Master of Education (Research) and a PhD on teacher perspectives on student engagement.
Berry is the author of Reimagining Student Engagement (2022), which proposes models and language for positioning students as active partners in the learning process, and The Engagement Partnership (2026), a practical guidebook that reframes engagement as a collaborative effort between students, teachers, and peers. Across her work, she has designed professional learning programs on formative assessment, student engagement, and learning through play, and has worked with teachers, school leaders, and education officials in Australia and internationally, including in Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Ukraine.
