Andrea Beaty

Andrea Beaty is an American children’s author best known for the Questioneers series, including the picture books Iggy Peck, Architect, Rosie Revere, Engineer, Ada Twist, Scientist, Sofia Valdez, Future Prez, and Aaron Slater, Illustrator. She has also expanded these characters into chapter books such as Rosie Revere and the Raucous Riveters and Sofia Valdez and the Vanishing Vote, which continue the series’ focus on creativity, perseverance, and STEM-themed problem solving.

Born in Benton, Illinois, Beaty studied biology and computer science at Southern Illinois University before working for a computer software company, where her experience with technical writing helped shape her concise, engaging style for young readers. A New York Times bestselling and award‑winning author, she lives in the Chicago area and regularly visits schools to share her love of reading and storytelling with children and educators.
