Angela Bell Julien
Angela Bell Julien is an educational consultant, leader, speaker, and teacher who owns and manages Angela Bell Julien Publications & Consulting. She works with school leaders and teachers on practical implementation strategies in areas such as site leadership, instructional improvement, strategic cycles of inquiry for systemic improvement, and relationship building, drawing on nearly 35 years of experience in high schools. Her work has included developing pathways inspired by the small learning communities movement to promote equity, reduce dropout rates, and improve post–high school success for students.
Julien is the coauthor of The Instructional Coaching Handbook: 200+ Troubleshooting Strategies for Success (ASCD, 2023) and The Teaching Strategy Handbook: 200+ Solutions for Common Classroom Challenges (ISTE+ASCD, 2026), both written with A. Keith Young and Tamarra Osborne, with Judith Mendoza-Jiménez joining the author team for the latter title. These books compile more than 200 problem-solving strategies and teacher-tested, research-backed solutions for instructional coaches and K–12 teachers, informed by extensive school visits and coaching work.
