Angela Peery
Angela Peery, EdD, is a consultant, author, and literacy expert with more than 30 years of experience as an educator. She is the author of The Co-Teacher’s Playbook: What It Takes to Make Co-Teaching Work for Everyone, drawing on experience as an instructional coach in a chronically low-performing middle school, a classroom teacher in middle and high schools, and a high school administrator, as well as holding leadership roles at the building, district, and state levels. Peery earned her EdD from the University of South Carolina, following a BA in English from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and an MA in Liberal Arts from Hollins College.
Across her consulting and writing career, Peery has authored or co-authored more than a dozen professional books for educators, including bestsellers such as Writing Matters in Every Classroom and The Data Teams Experience: A Guide for Effective Meetings, and has made over 1,000 presentations supporting schools and districts in areas such as teacher collaboration, formative assessment, effective instruction, and literacy across the curriculum. She is the founder of Dr. Angela Peery Consulting LLC and works nationally as a literacy consultant, helping education leaders design curriculum, use data to inform instruction, and improve student achievement.
