Ann Dominick

Ann Dominick is a mathematics educator and author who co‑authored Number Talks: Fractions, Decimals, and Percentages with Sherry Parrish. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Auburn University, an M.A.Ed. in Education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Doctor of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Vanderbilt University, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Curriculum and Instruction from Harvard University.

Dominick has been recognized with the National Science Foundation’s Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching Elementary Mathematics and is a former Alabama State Teacher of the Year. She has taught mathematics education courses and worked with pre‑service and in‑service teachers as an assistant professor at Birmingham‑Southern College, and more recently has served in statewide roles in Alabama focused on mathematics improvement and policy.
