Annie Hunter Eriksen

Annie Hunter Eriksen is an American writer of children’s nonfiction who specializes in biographies of comic book creators. She is the author of With Great Power: The Marvelous Stan Lee (An Unauthorized Biography), a picture-book biography of Stan Lee illustrated by Lee Gatlin and published in 2021, and Along Came a Radioactive Spider: Strange Steve Ditko and the Creation of Spider-Man (An Unauthorized Biography), a picture-book biography of Marvel artist Steve Ditko published in 2023.

Eriksen graduated from The College of Wooster in 2013 and lives in a small town in Ohio. Public author profiles note that she is originally from Columbus, Ohio, and that her interests include comics, cats, coffee, true crime, and trail running; she lives with her husband and several pets.
