Anthony Arnove

Anthony Arnove is a writer, editor, producer, and literary agent known for his work highlighting grassroots movements and dissenting voices in U.S. history. He is the co-editor, with Haley Pessin, of Voices of a People’s History of the United States in the 21st Century: Documents of Hope and Resistance, a collection of speeches, essays, poems, and testimonies from contemporary movements including Black Lives Matter, #MeToo, Indigenous struggles, immigrant rights, environmental activism, disability justice, and frontline workers. Arnove previously co-edited Voices of a People’s History of the United States with Howard Zinn and wrote the introduction to the thirty-fifth‑anniversary edition of Zinn’s classic A People’s History of the United States.

Arnove is the editor of several other books, including Terrorism and War, Iraq Under Siege: The Deadly Impact of Sanctions and War, The Essential Chomsky, and Howard Zinn Speaks, and he is the author of Iraq: The Logic of Withdrawal.
