Arin Lavinia

Arin Lavinia is an educator, literacy expert, entrepreneur, and author who co‑wrote Mission Possible: How the Secrets of the Success Academies Can Work in Any School with Success Academy founder Eva Moskowitz, published by Jossey‑Bass in 2012. In this work, Lavinia draws on her experience as a literacy coach for the Success Academy network of charter schools and as the developer of the network’s THINK Literacy program, focusing on rigorous literacy instruction and teacher development.

Lavinia is the founder and CEO of Lavinia Group, an education consulting organization she launched in 2015 to support schools—particularly urban schools—in improving literacy and mathematics instruction through intensive teacher and leader training. Under her leadership, Lavinia Group has expanded to work with hundreds of schools across the United States, serving hundreds of thousands of students through professional learning focused on “joyfully rigorous” instruction and intellectual preparation.
