Audrey Cohan
Audrey Cohan, EdD, is Senior Dean for Research, Scholarship, and Graduate Studies at Molloy University in Rockville Centre, New York, where she has served for more than two decades in roles including professor of education, chair of the Education Department, and interim dean for the Division of Natural Sciences. She began her career as a special education teacher in New York City, working with students with special needs in self-contained and resource-room settings, and is certified in both special education and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages).
Cohan has taught at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels in educational leadership for diverse learning communities and serves as principal investigator for an NSF Noyce Ambassadors grant. She has co-authored and co-edited multiple works on serving English learners and multilingual learners, including Serving English Language Learners (2016), which received the Textbook & Academic Authors Association Most Promising New Textbook Award, Team Up, Speak Up, Fire Up!: Educators, Students, and the Community Working Together to Support English Learners (2020), From Equity Insights to Action: Critical Strategies for Teaching Multilingual Learners (2022), and Collaboration for Multilingual Learners With Exceptionalities: We Share the Students (2024).
