Betsy Duffy

Betsy M. Duffy, M.S. Ed., is Director of Language Arts and Instruction at The Windward School and formerly served as Director of Curriculum and Instruction at The Graham School in Hastings, New York. She has worked in special education for more than 25 years in roles including classroom teacher, resource room teacher, and language arts specialist, and she is an IMSLEC teacher trainer and certified Dyslexia Practitioner.

Duffy has a master’s degree in Learning Disabilities, an Advanced Graduate Certification in Staff Development, and a second master’s degree in School Administration and Supervision. She has published articles in Perspectives on Language and Literacy and is a co-author of a chapter in Multisensory Teaching of Basic Language Skills, 4th edition. She is also the author of Teaching Basic Writing Skills Activity Templates.
