Betsy Sisson

Betsy Sisson is an educational consultant and literacy specialist who works with schools to improve literacy instruction and coaching practices alongside her sister and coauthor, Diana Sisson. Together, they operate Sisson & Sisson Educational Consulting Services, LLC, and provide professional development for educators with a focus on effective literacy coaching and raising student achievement.

Sisson is the coauthor of multiple books published by Routledge, including The Literacy Coaching Handbook: Working with Teachers to Increase Student Achievement (2017) and its second edition, The Literacy Coaching Handbook: Working with Teachers to Increase Student Achievement (2023), as well as Close Reading in Elementary School: Bringing Readers and Texts Together.
