Bonnie M. Davis

Bonnie M. Davis, PhD, is an educator and author with more than forty years of teaching experience across middle schools, high schools, universities, homeless shelters, and a men’s prison. She holds a doctorate in English from Saint Louis University and earned a bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s in English, and an MAI in communications. Her work has been recognized with multiple honors, including Teacher of the Year in two public school districts, the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the Anti-Defamation League’s World of Difference Community Service Award. Davis has presented at national conferences such as Learning Forward, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the National Council of Teachers of English, and the National Association for Multicultural Education.

Davis is best known for her focus on culturally responsive teaching and equity-oriented instructional practice.
