Brenda T. McEvoy

Brenda T. McEvoy is the co-author of The Literature Review: Six Steps to Success, a widely used guide for graduate students in education and the social sciences that has been published in multiple editions. She taught high school English, history, and science for 36 years, consistently integrating research skills into her curriculum.

For eight years, McEvoy worked with the California State Department of Education, where she led groups of educators in improving their ability to edit and assess student writing. She has served as a mentor for beginning English and history teachers and participated in the California Writing Project, deepening her understanding of writing instruction and the challenges students face with major assignments. In addition, she has worked as an editor for several books, focusing on helping writers produce clear and logical work.
