Brent G. Warner

Brent G. Warner is an award-winning professor of English as a Second Language at Irvine Valley College in Southern California, where he focuses on integrating educational technology into the language-learning process. He works with adult and higher education multilingual learners, helping students build academic language skills while developing autonomy through technology-supported learning.

Warner is the author of Edtech for Multilingual Learners: 48 Fun and Flexible Activities for Every Classroom, published in 2025, which offers practical technology-based activities organized around core language acquisition skills for teachers of ESOL and other multilingual learners. He is also co-author of Compelling Conversations – Japan: Questions and Quotations for High Intermediate Japanese English Language Learners (Chimayo Press, 2015). Beyond his books, Warner serves as an educational technology blogger for TESOL International and co-hosts the DIESOL podcast, focused on innovation and edtech in ESOL, as well as the HigherEdTech Podcast on technology in college and university classrooms.
