Brett Vogelsinger
Brett Vogelsinger is a high school English teacher in Pennsylvania with more than twenty years of experience teaching in public schools, including work in both middle and high school settings. He has taught ninth grade English, facilitated a school literary magazine, and is a National Board Certified Teacher. His classroom practice and professional writing focus on embedding poetry in instruction, incorporating generative AI into learning in healthy and honest ways, and helping students develop strong reading and writing habits.
Vogelsinger is the author of Artful AI in Writing Instruction: A Human-Centered Approach to Using Artificial Intelligence in Grades 6–12 (Corwin, 2025), which offers standards-aligned lessons and guidance on integrating AI thoughtfully at each stage of the writing process. He also wrote Poetry Pauses: Teaching With Poems to Elevate Student Writing in All Genres (Corwin, 2023) and is the founding editor of the Go Poems project, as well as a contributor to Moving Writers, where he shares ideas on poetry, literacy, and AI in education.
