Brian D. Mendler

Brian D. Mendler is a certified elementary and special education teacher, educational consultant, and presenter who has worked extensively with challenging students in general education, self-contained, and inclusion settings. He also taught Behavior Management and Introduction to Special Education as an adjunct professor at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York.

Mendler is a co-author of Discipline with Dignity: How to Build Responsibility, Relationships, and Respect in Your Classroom with Richard L. Curwin and Allen N. Mendler. Corwin’s author page also notes his work in staff development for K–12 educators and youth service workers across North America, along with his earlier volunteer involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters and Special Olympics.
