Brian Sztabnik
Brian Sztabnik is a high school English teacher at Miller Place High School on Long Island, New York, where he teaches AP English Literature and Composition and other ELA courses. He co-authored 100% Engagement: 33 Lessons to Promote Participation, Beat Boredom, and Deepen Learning in the ELA Classroom with Susan Barber and has also created and hosted the Talks with Teachers podcast.
He has taught English for more than a decade in middle schools, high schools, and different school settings, and he earned a master’s degree in English education from Stony Brook University and a communications/journalism degree from New York University. Published profiles also note that he has served as an AP Reader and on the AP Literature Test Development Committee, was a 2018 finalist for New York State Teacher of the Year, and was a 2015 Bammy Award nominee for Education Commentator/Blogger.
