Bridget Heos
Bridget Heos is an American children’s author who has written more than 100 books, the vast majority of them nonfiction. Her work includes Blood, Bullets, and Bones: The Story of Forensic Science from Sherlock Holmes to DNA, as well as other children’s nonfiction on science and history. She has also written picture books, including Mustache Baby, and her published books span early readers through young adult nonfiction.
Before becoming a full-time writer, Heos worked as a social worker, teacher, and freelance writer. She studied English in college and has said she began her career writing for local newspapers, magazines, and businesses before moving into children’s books. Heos lives in Kansas and has written extensively on science topics for young readers.
