Carol S. Dweck
Carol S. Dweck is the Lewis and Virginia Eaton Professor of Psychology at Stanford University, where her research focuses on motivation, self-conceptions, self-regulation, and achievement. She earned her B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University, and her Ph.D. in psychology from Yale University.
Before joining Stanford, Dweck taught at Columbia University, Harvard University, and the University of Illinois. She is the author of Mindset: The New Psychology of Success (2006), a book that applies her research on the implications of mindset for achievement across school, work, relationships, and other settings.
