Caroline Sweet

Caroline Sweet is a bilingual literacy coach and author based in Austin, Texas, where she works at LCpl Nicholas S. Perez Elementary School supporting literacy instruction in Spanish-English classrooms. She has been a bilingual educator for more than a decade and was recognized as the 2011 Teacher of the Year for Austin Independent School District, reflecting her impact on culturally and linguistically diverse learners.

Sweet is a coauthor of Patterns of Power en español, Grades 1–5: Inviting Bilingual Writers into the Conventions of Spanish and Patterns of Wonder en español: Inviting Emergent Bilingual Writers to Play with the Conventions of Spanish, PreK–1, collaborating with Jeff Anderson and Whitney La Rocca to adapt the invitational, play-based approach to grammar and writing for Spanish and dual language classrooms.
