Carrie L. Cole

Carrie L. Cole is an educator and literacy consultant who serves as president of Side-by-Side Educational Consulting. She began her career as an elementary and secondary reading teacher and has also worked as a professional development specialist for the Idaho State Department of Education, an adjunct literacy professor at Idaho State University, and a regional educational consultant. Cole holds a master’s degree in literacy and has provided professional development on evidence-based literacy instruction to educators and school systems.

Cole is a contributing author of Teaching Reading Sourcebook, including the second and third editions, a research-informed guide to explicit reading instruction.
