Carrie McDermott Goldman

Dr. Carrie McDermott Goldman is an associate professor in the School of Education and Human Services at Molloy University in Rockville Centre, New York, where she focuses on culturally responsive-sustaining pedagogies, linguistic diversity, curriculum and program development, ESOL methodology, and language acquisition. She teaches pre-service and in-service educators equitable, research- and asset-based practices for supporting multilingual learners and has more than two decades of experience in K–12 and adult education, as well as prior experience in the business sector.

Goldman is a coauthor of From Equity Insights to Action: Critical Strategies for Teaching Multilingual Learners and 9 Dimensions of Scaffolding for Multilingual Learners, collaborating with Maria G. Dove and Andrea Honigsfeld on these works. She has also written multiple practitioner resources on multilingual learners and has coauthored and directed the Clinically Rich Intensive Teacher Institute Grant, receiving recognition such as an Innovative Online Course Design Award and serving as a Quality Matters–certified online course evaluator.
