Chad M. V. Dumas, EdD, is an international educational consultant, presenter, and award‑winning researcher whose work focuses on collaborating with schools to build capacity for continuous improvement in professional learning communities (PLCs). He has more than two decades of leadership experience in education, serving in roles including classroom teacher, school principal, central office administrator, professional developer, accreditation lead evaluator, writer, consultant, presenter, and graduate lecturer in districts ranging from a few hundred to several thousand students. Dumas has led nationally recognized improvements in student and staff learning, including work in a high‑poverty, high‑diversity district where multiple schools were later recognized as Model PLC schools.
Dumas is the author of The Teacher Team Leader Handbook: Simple Habits to Transform Collaboration in a PLC at Work®, as well as other PLC-focused books such as Let’s Put the C in PLC and An Action Guide to Put the C in PLC. He is a Solution Tree associate whose consulting and training integrate research, practical tools, and stories to support principals, teacher leaders, and whole schools in strengthening collaboration and improving student results.
