Charles Fadel
Charles Fadel is a global education thought leader, author, futurist, and inventor, and the founder and chairman of the Center for Curriculum Redesign (CCR), a global nonprofit focused on making education more relevant for the age of artificial intelligence. He is the co‑author of 21st Century Skills: Learning for Life in Our Times with Bernie Trilling, as well as Four-Dimensional Education, Artificial Intelligence in Education, and Education for the Age of AI. Fadel has worked with education systems and institutions in more than thirty countries and has held roles including Senior Fellow in Human Capital at The Conference Board, Global Education Lead at Cisco Systems, and visiting scholar at Harvard Graduate School of Education, MIT’s ESG program, and Wharton/Penn’s Chief Learning Officer program.
He has served in advisory and leadership positions such as chair or vice-chair of the education committee at BIAC/OECD, member of the OECD AI Experts Group, board member at Innovate+Educate, and member of the President’s Council at Olin College of Engineering. Fadel holds a Bachelor of Science in electronics (BSEE) with concentration in quantum and solid‑state physics and a minor in neuroscience, and an MBA in international marketing, and has been awarded multiple patents in video, content, and communication
