Chris Hass

Chris Hass is a second- and third-grade teacher at the Center for Inquiry in Columbia, South Carolina. According to publisher and university sources, he has spent twenty years in education, taught in a variety of settings, served as an adjunct professor for early childhood and elementary programs, and presented on integrating social justice teaching into everyday practice.

He is the author of Social Justice Talk: Strategies for Teaching Critical Awareness, described as his first book. James Madison University also identifies him as an assistant professor of Early, Elementary, and Reading Education whose teaching and scholarship focus on social justice education and civic engagement.
