Christine Snyder

Christine Snyder, M.A., is an early childhood educator, program director, author, and trainer/coach who has worked in the field since 1999. She holds a master’s degree in early childhood education and a bachelor’s degree in child development and is currently a PhD student at Eastern Michigan University. Snyder serves as Director of Child and Family Care at the University of Michigan, is a part-time lecturer in the College of Education at Eastern Michigan University, and works as an independent consultant developing and facilitating training across the United States, internationally, and online.

Snyder is the coauthor of Finding Your Way Through Conflict: Strategies for Early Childhood Educators, written with Chris Amirault and published by Free Spirit Publishing, a resource on conflict resolution and interpersonal dynamics in early childhood programs. In addition to this book, she has published multiple early childhood resource books, articles, training DVDs, and classroom resources for teachers, and volunteers on local and national boards advocating for equitable access to high-quality early childhood education, including service as a Consulting Editor for NAEYC, Chair of the NAEYC Council for Accreditation of Early Learning Programs, Chair of the Community Action Network of Washtenaw County Board of Directors, and member of the NAEYC Early Learning Systems Committee.
