Christopher Lehman
Christopher Lehman is an award-winning educator, international speaker, and New York Times best-selling author who serves as the Founding Director of The Educator Collaborative, a K–12 literacy think tank and professional development organization. Over more than twenty years in education, he has worked as a middle-school teacher, high-school teacher, literacy coach, instructional coach, and staff developer, including as a Senior Staff Developer with the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project at Columbia University. He holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, New York University, and Teachers College, Columbia University.
Lehman is the author or co-author of several influential professional books for educators, including Falling in Love with Close Reading: Lessons for Analyzing Texts—and Life (with Kate Roberts) and Energize Research Reading and Writing: Fresh Strategies to Spark Interest, Develop Independence, and Meet Key Common Core Standards, Grades 4–8, as well as Pathways to the Common Core and A Quick Guide to Reviving Disengaged Writers.
