Chryste Berda
Chryste Berda is a mathematics educator, consultant, and author who has taught math to students in grades K–12, as well as to teachers and school leaders, since 1998. She is a district math coordinator and a Regional Vice President for the Arizona Association of Teachers of Mathematics, and she has served in leadership roles focused on mathematics education and teacher support.
Berda earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Interdisciplinary Studies with a Specialty in Mathematics from Western Oregon University and holds two master’s degrees from Arizona State University, one in Curriculum and Instruction and one in Educational Leadership. She is a coauthor of Seeing the Math You Teach, Grades K-6: An Elementary Teacher’s Quick-Guide to Meaningful Mathematical Strategies and Representations and is also credited on other math education titles, including Travel Adventures: Wonders of the World: Symmetry and Learn-At-Home: Explore Math Bundle Grade 4.
