Clare Landrigan

Clare Landrigan is a literacy staff developer, educator, and author who partners with school systems across the United States to implement research-based reading and writing instruction and best practices in literacy. After earning a BA from Bucknell University and an MA in Child Development from Tufts University, she began her career teaching in integrated, mixed-age and first–second grade classrooms at the Eliot-Pearson Children’s School at Tufts University, later serving as a project manager and consultant at Tufts’ Center for Applied Child Development to support urban, suburban, and rural schools with workshop-based literacy instruction. She subsequently worked as co-director of curriculum for English Language Arts in Wayland Public Elementary Schools and now leads a private staff development business/Landrigan Literacy Consulting, LLC, providing customized professional learning, side-by-side coaching in classrooms, and speaking at state and national conferences; she also serves on the board of The Book Love Foundation.

She is the co-author of It’s All About the Books: How to Create Bookrooms and Classroom Libraries That Inspire Readers, published by Heinemann, and co-author of Assessment in Perspective: Focusing on the Reader Behind the Numbers, published by Stenhouse.
