Colleen A. Morello

Colleen A. Morello is the Language Arts Specialist for Fairfield Public Schools in Fairfield, Connecticut. She coaches elementary teachers, supports struggling readers and writers in and out of the classroom, provides districtwide professional development, and develops workshops for parents. Morello has also consulted for LitLife Inc., providing professional development, classroom coaching, and curriculum-writing support to schools and district leaders.

She is a coauthor, with Michael J. Rafferty and Paraskevi Rountos, of 30 Big-Idea Lessons for Small Groups: The Teaching Framework for ANY Text and EVERY Reader (Corwin, 2016). Morello is also listed as a coauthor of 7 Big Challenges in Early Literacy Instruction: A Guide to Finding Effective Strategies for Every Student.
