Corinne Arens

Corinne Arens, Ed.D., is a district-level instructional coach for writing in the Blue Springs School District in Blue Springs, Missouri. She is also a teacher consultant for the Greater Kansas City Writing Project and has served on multiple state-level committees related to literacy and education.

Arens is the coauthor of A Teacher’s Guide to Writing Workshop Essentials: Time, Choice, Response, part of Heinemann’s Classroom Essentials Series, written with Katherine Bomer. In this K–5 professional resource, they focus on the core principles of writing workshop—time, choice, and response—and provide practical structures and routines to help teachers implement a predictable daily writing workshop in their classrooms.
