Daniel L Volrath

Daniel L. Vollrath, EdD, is a special education teacher at Hunterdon Central Regional High School in New Jersey and a U.S. professional development trainer with the Institute for Habits of Mind. He has more than 20 years of teaching experience across general education, inclusive, and resource room settings, and he consults with school districts on implementing Habits of Mind in curriculum and daily instruction.

Vollrath received a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from Temple University, a master’s degree in educational leadership from Delaware Valley University, and a doctorate in special education leadership from Arcadia University. He is the author of The Purpose-Driven Classroom: Seven Productive Behaviors for Student Success and has also published articles for Teachers Matter Magazine, Edutopia, and other education outlets.
