Darshan M. Jain
Darshan M. Jain is the director of mathematics and computer science at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois, where he leads program development and supports standards-based, collaborative mathematics instruction. He previously served as an award‑winning mathematics teacher and curriculum team leader, and is a recipient of the Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching (2010) and the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (2013).
He is a coauthor of Mathematics Unit Planning in a PLC at Work®, High School, part of the Every Student Can Learn Mathematics series, which provides high school teacher teams with frameworks and tools for collaboratively planning mathematics units in professional learning communities. Jain holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a Master of Science in teaching secondary mathematics education from the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as a Master of Arts in educational leadership, and has pursued doctoral studies in education policy, organization, and leadership.
