David Campos
David Campos is an educator and scholar whose career in education spans more than thirty years, beginning as a second-grade teacher. He earned his PhD from The University of Texas at Austin, specializing in learning disabilities and behavior disorders. His scholarship focuses on instructional design and delivery, childhood health and wellness, and LGBTQ children and adolescents. Campos lives in San Antonio, Texas.
He is the coauthor of The Big Book of Behavior Management, K–5: Positive, Proactive, Prosocial Interventions and Prevention Strategies (Corwin, 2025), written with Kathleen McConnell Fad. Campos has also written books on topics including childhood loneliness, childhood obesity, and inspiring creativity in students.
