Debbie Thompson Silver

Debbie Silver, Ed.D., is an award-winning educator, author, and humorist with more than 30 years of experience as a classroom teacher, staff development facilitator, and university professor. A former Louisiana State Teacher of the Year, she is known internationally as a keynote speaker and consultant, presenting to educators in 49 U.S. states and in regions including Europe, Asia, Africa, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and the Middle East. She holds a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction from Louisiana Tech University, a master’s degree in administration and supervision from Louisiana State University Shreveport, and a B.S. in education from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Silver is the author of Drumming to the Beat of Different Marchers: Finding the Rhythm for Differentiated Learning and Fall Down 7 Times, Get Up 8: Raising and Teaching Self-Motivated Learners, K–12 (also referenced as Teaching Kids to Succeed).
