Denarius Frazier

Denarius Frazier is a Regional Superintendent of Instruction at Uncommon Schools in New York City and a Senior Advisor on the Teach Like a Champion Consulting & Partnerships Team. He is a co-author of Reconnect: Building School Culture for Meaning, Purpose, and Belonging, written with Doug Lemov, Hilary Lewis, and Darryl Williams, which focuses on practical strategies for strengthening school culture and student belonging.

Previously, Frazier served for four years as Principal of an Uncommon high school in Brooklyn, NY, where his team achieved some of the strongest results in the school’s history, and he was recognized in 2022 as High School Principal of the Year. He began his education career in 2014 as a Teach For America corps member teaching high school mathematics, has taught courses ranging from Algebra I to Calculus, and has designed math curricula. His classroom practice has been widely studied; he appears on the cover of Teach Like a Champion 3.0, and his work is featured in Leverage Leadership 2.0 and Driven by Data. Frazier holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Morehouse College, an M.A. in Biotechnology from Columbia University, and an M.A. in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education.
