Dennis Magliozzi
Dr. Dennis Magliozzi is a high school English teacher in New Hampshire and the coauthor of _AI in the Writing Workshop: Finding the Write Balance_ (Heinemann, 2025), written with Kristina Peterson. He has been teaching English since 2008, primarily at Exeter High School, and co-teaches writing and teaching in the University of New Hampshire’s Writers Academy and Learning Through Teaching (LTT) program. Magliozzi holds an MFA in poetry from Vermont College of Fine Arts and a PhD in Education/Curriculum and Instruction from the University of New Hampshire, where his 2022 doctoral dissertation examined youth composing processes in slam and spoken word poetry.
Magliozzi is co-developer of “Arts in Action,” an initiative that received a 2023 New Hampshire Governor’s Arts Education Award, and co-founder of Bookshelf Diversity, a statewide grant project that increases access to diverse books for New Hampshire students. His work on generative AI in literacy instruction appears in venues such as English Journal, including the article “Writing in the Era of AI: ChatGPT in the Writing Workshop Model,” coauthored with Peterson.
