Diana Murray

Diana Murray is the author of Doris the Bookasaurus and more than two dozen other children’s books, including the bestselling Unicorn Day series, City Shapes, Goodnight, Veggies, Grimelda: The Very Messy Witch, Ned the Knitting Pirate, Pizza Pig, and Summer Color!. Her poems have appeared in children’s magazines such as Highlights, High Five, Spider, Ladybug, and the School Magazine of Australia, as well as in various anthologies.

A first‑generation immigrant, Murray grew up in New York City and still lives nearby with her husband and two children. In addition to her writing, she has taught picture book–writing workshops at the Highlights Foundation and Storyteller Academy.
